Last Friday was the science fair at Tatum's school. She made a project demonstrating the different phases of the moon. The note told parent's to let the kids do it themselves. So, I let Tatum do it ALL by herself I did not put in any opinion or anything. She just told me what she needed and I let her do her thing. When I saw the finished project it just completely blew my mind away. She coherently explained all of the phases of the moon and taped the explanation to the sides of her tri-fold poster and then made clay moons in all of the phases...And she put black construction paper on the back ( like the night sky) and made stars out of foil! I have to brag a little here SHE IS SO SMART and creative. She took it to school and her teacher said she was so proud of it she bragged to the other teachers. Then she told Tatum that she is a good student! It made Tatum so happy! I wish I had taken a picture of it, but the minute it made it home from school Tatum left it on the floor, and guess what!? The dog ate it REALLY! I'm going to ask her teacher if she knows of anyone who may have taken pictures of their science projects. I'm so proud of Tatum. She has had a great 1st grade year. Only about two weeks left then its fun in the sun all summer long!!=)
